Hero Factory Nex review (Breakout wave 2)

Oh no, it's the end of LEGO Hero Factory's Summer 2012 line!  Closing out Breakout Wave 2 for me is the new version of Nex.  He's one of the two smaller characters of this wave, returning at about the same height as he started in original "2.0" form.  Recaps & combination models are still to come!

  1. Well it's time to share my thoughts on Nex.

Overall he doesn't really bring any new techniques or parts to the table. As you said, with the exception of one, all pieces have been seen before, and one of the highest points of the set are the recolors. In fact the sole new, never-before-seen piece is the helmet, which doesn't really appeal to me very much. I don't think I'll be getting this one.

    1. I got Nex the other day and he's actually not a bad set, whether its for play or display (I agree, however, in the fact that he doesn't really offer much to MOC makers). In my opinion, the only downside to him is the lack of coverage on the back.

Eeeeeeeeh... I don't know about that weapon, but overall it seems like pretty cool set. May pick this one up myself

  2. Who? What? When? Where? How? Why? If it hadn't been for Chronos sending me an email, I would've missed all the reviews entirely. To quote someone a while back (talking about the reviews):

    nice

    1. I don't think that Nex is a bad set, it's just that most of this wave's other sets contain better parts or more unique designs. Nex isn't bad, but sorta... average.
